4 cyl head identifying

Hi I got sum parts from my cousin passing away. We almost only mess with ford's so I assume it's a ford head. Tried google image
Search and nothing it's a dohc 16v head with sum custom plate on the back. I'm going to go buy a 2.3 head gasket see if it fits.

It’s not the Ranger head I would have first guessed. There should be some part numbers on it.

Looks like a VOLVO head...common swap require a lil welding n machining...makes BIG power

Volvo 4V Head on 2.3?

This sounds impossible to me but my friend insists that there is a Volvo 4 valve cylinder head that will bolt up easily to a ford 2.3 turbo motor and adds like 30 horse, has anyone heard of this? It doesn't seem possible to me. How would the bolt pattern be the same? Just wondering.

Never heard of it either
Look up head gaskets for both engines and see if the bolt holes look the same
Cleveland heads fit a 302, so hell, why not?
Ford lifters fit a big block Chev etc.

it's not a bolt n go..small amount of welding is required but it is the hot set up for the ford 4 popper
