4 Lug White 17 In Wheels. Can't Find Them

I think a Fairmont fender is narrower than a Mustang anything. A 17x9 wouldn't even get by when pointed straight ahead.
(exaggeration)
I ended up w/ a 17 x 8 but my tire is obviously up inside the fender.
Will a Mustang accommodate a 17 x 9 w/ a slammed stance? Or is it gonna have to have a Rjaaa raise?
I've run 17 x9's on a few that have been lowered with no issues other than needing rack limiters , including my present ride.

With a 245 tire I'm almost flush with the fender opening. I have a little room to drop the front and still clear the sheet metal, but I'm told using a 05+ wheel offset tucks it into the fender so there's probably a little more wiggle room there.

Huh,....Seems stupider than Larry to put a big assed wheel on the front and have to limit it's travel because it makes contact with parts of the front end...
Uhhhh....scratch the "stupider than larry" comment,....and don't pay any attention to my commentary in ANY of the moving Monster movies...Matter of fact,...forget I said anything.

Seems to be an ongoing bit
You just have to pay attention to every thing I say. I ween you guys into my vocab, gradually so that I won't smoke you.

"Stupid Larry" was a radio character sidekick to Space Commander Wack back in Omaha in the 80's.

So,....Based on my memories of that show,...I "adapted" the word usage. Now every "fail" is a Stupid Larry.

Has kind of a nice roll off the tongue when you use it...........Let's use it in a sentence shall we?

"That dum sum bitch is Stupider than Larry."

What size tire should I use on the 17x9 ?
The 89 has a stock suspension set up.
Will 245/45/17 fit in the front with no rub?
Will 255/ 40/17 fit in the rear with no rub ?
The rear will clear, the The front wheel itself will make contact with the lower control arm when you turn it to full lock. That is what Stykthyn was talkin about w/ rack limiters. You will have to stop the travel to keep it from doing that.

I found it funny that you ignored all comments except the "here you go, dont lift a finger" ones. Heck, you asked if the site you were directed to had wheel and tire packages, rather than calling or emailing them to find out for yourself. Guess I lack tolerence for those that dont help themselves. Sorry for being a dick. Hopefully someone here will pick out your tires and mount the package on your car for you too. Good luck sir! :nice:

I find this thread offensive. If you'll excuse me, I'm off to go watch Borat... and then The Dictator.
You know you want white wheels too

Yeah, the SN95 and up offset wheels do tuck up nicely on the front. And its about the only way to run a wider rear setup if you still have a Fox length rear end. My 18x9 fronts are inside the front lip. And it honestly feels like I have a better turning radius with the larger rim. I haven't rubbed yet when turning.
