Does anyone know if 03 or 04 cobra heads, or any 4 valve heads at that matter will bolt up to our block? I have heard a few rumors as far as people running 4 valves in the 05's? Don't know if it is true or they are pulling the whole motor and running 4 valves?

I think i read that it "can" be done, but it's WAY more than a bolt on setup, and you have to eliminate the VVT system and the Spanish Oak computer and basically convert your engine over to a 4V engine. You'd probably be better off just swapping the whole engine and computer over for a Cobra engine.

also not really sure what gains you're after. From what I've read the 3v heads are producing some good numbers, and as an added bonus the SOHC setup is lighter than a DOHC and has a low centre of gravity. As an additional bonus the variable valve timing is well worth having on a road going machine.

DOHC = sweet. But not nessicarily the best all round option considering the cost involved.

They are running complete 03-04 motors. This type of thread has been poping up alot over on the 4.6L section, but asked if the 3v's can fit on the 2v's block. It comes down to way too much prep/time/custom fabbing to actually accomplish. It would be easier to add the 4v's to a 2v block than it is to add 4v's on a 3v block.
