I currently have a forged 408 roller shortblock. I have a set of World Sr. (2.02/1.60's 200cc in my garage. Would you bother putting these on, or would you save for a while and get a set of AFR/TFS heads. Im torn because I already have these world heads!!!!!! :(

depends on how desperate you are to get the car on the road. they'd most likely run out of steam by 4500 or so. if you are not in a hurry, then sell them and put the money towards the new heads

me .. i'd get them on and drive it while saving up for new heads.

I was looking to get the heads you have (AFR 205's w/72cc comb chmbs) which since my compression ratio is 10:1 with 64cc chambers (Sr. heads). Ive heard 10:1 is high for iron heads..really dont know if I should take a chance with my rotating assy? the 72cc's would bring me to 9.4:1. Thanks for the reply!:nice:

There's nothing wrong with Windsor sr. heads as long as you go in and clean them up a little. They respond very well to a bowl blend and some valve guide boss tapering, mine picked up 20 cfm+ @ almost every lift including a good valve job. Now 277 cfm at .600

I had very similar results on a customer of mine who had to run iron heads, with some work they can work well. I also had good results by working on the short turn radius a little. Now I would rather see a set of AFR205s on there ;)
