Hello all, just got the 40hp upgrade installed on my 06 saleen S/C, had it installed in Irvine by Saleen. I keep hearing that there are supposed to be a part number on the new pulley. I looked and there are none, my boost guage is reading about 7psi but not sure how accurate the saleen guage is. Is there anyone out there that has had the upgrade and has a pulley without the part numbers on it....Thanks in advance Rob

here is the picture of the one with the part number, mine is missing the P/n in the center 06-1607-12395a Thanks casey for the Pic )

If you are seeing 7lbs on the saleen boost gauge you have the proper pulley. The stock pulley is 4lbs.

My 435 car made 4psi when new. It now makes a little over 5 psi at 4k rpm. I know it's a true reading because I run an AutoMeter not the Saleen guage.

Funny. I have experienced some bad luck with auto meter lately. I've had a couple faulty ones recently in my 89 vert. The Saleen gauges in the past have work wonderfully for me, but I will admit, its just carma on me

Yea,

You never really know but I have always had good luck overall with AutoMeter. I want some of those Nexus gauges for the 06 (match the mycolor) but those nexus guages are super pricey! I have yet to find out who is making the 05 and up Saleen boost and intercooler temp guages. I think the co. they use are in Los Angeles. If I find out they are made by someone who knows what they are doing I'll rest a little easier and may even purchase them.

Nexus are very sharp guages, but they are not giving those away I looked too, but hard for me to justify the price when you can put the difference to something else

I just had to replace by fuel pressure gauge in my car before I left for Guam. It was reading all over the place one minute I'd have 40psi and then next 0psi. Scared the heck out of me!! Then I found that my sending unit was faulty. So I bought a new gauge that runs the fuel into the car and to get a accurate reading. I haven't had a problem since.

Per Saleen that pulley should be 3.87 inches on the 475 HP kit.

I would like to thank Casey he was extremely helpful. I called Haney motorsports to see if they could compare the two pulleys for me and without question he broke them out and grabed his Micrometer and gave me the exact measurements, rare customer service indeed. I have yet to even purchase a part from Haney, but I tell you he has a new customer for all my future upgrades thanks again Casey....Rob

Yea,

Casey is first class. Hands down the best Saleen parts distributer around. I believe Haney Motorsports is actually Saleen's largest dealer.

Guys my car reads like 5.5 - 6psi on the stock car/guage. Im trying to make a desision on what size pully to use. Its a 05 s/c .
Any input would be great.
Im thinking the 3.40=9.5 psi pully, with a custom tune and 39lbs injectors. maybe fuel pump if needed.
Another question, how hard is it to swap a pully? do you need a puller or is it 4 bolts?

Just so you know 10 psi even with a perfect tune is where the stock bottom end let's go. We are just starting to see it from guys that are pushing 10 psi.

I ordered the 3.6 pully that will make 7.5psi. they say I don't need fuel pumps. But with 9.5 psi I was told i need pumps. Im still unsure if I should go all the way and risk it. Plus the GT500 fuel systemI want to use is like $900.00.
