Ok. So, I just installed the new engine in the marauder (4R70W same as the 03 mach 1 auto) and got the tranny all bolted in. When I went to hook up the shifter arm to the cable it wouldn't reach. I came to the conclusion that it got spun around when it was out of the car. Now that it is in the car there isn't enough room to just simply flip it back around like the green line in the pic shows. So, my question is; can I just pop it off at the little blue grommet with the red arrow? I didn't want to try it and break it until I asked someone who might have removed one before.

Thanks
