Hey guys,

I have 16" pony wheels right now, car sits pretty good for stock height..

My question is if I replace my wheels with some 17" ponies, will I get that ugly 4x4 look? Meaning big gap between fender and wheel.

Looking at 245/45 up front and 275/40 rear.

Its a 93 GT convertible.

Thank you!!

If the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo is similar, it should sit exactly the same. More sidewall on the 16’s, less sidewall on the 17’s.
What size tires are you running on the 16’s?
Plug the sizes in a tire calculator and see what you come up with.
I run those exact sizes in the 17” but I’m on lowered springs.

Thxs alot! Will look into using the tire calculator:)

If you do not keep the tire height the same
and run taller tires, the wheel wells will be more filled, not less. At an extreme, running 17” mud tires will cause extreme scraping without big suspension changes and a lift.
