5.0 2 bolt main to a 4bolt?

Was wondering if this could be done. I have a stock 89 block on my stand and i plan on building it for a new motor this winter. I heard some guys at the local car show saying you could make it a 4 bolt main. Is this possible? and if so has anyone done it?

There is not enough meat in the mains in a late model block to do it safely....
