Just wondering if anyone could help me out and point out anything out of the norm (odd) about my engine bay. Maybe something thats missing, connected wrong, etc. any help is much appriciated.

Also my mechanic says the oil leak by the distributor could be because the seal? Ive read this could be the intake manifold?

The car is a 1988 5.0ho 5 speed gt hatch.
The car was oringally auto but converted to manuel

There's an o ring around the dist. It's usually included in most lower intake gasket kits. Pretty easy fix but you need to remove the dist and restab it correctly and set the timing. However, a more likely cause is the lower intake manifold is leaking oil. I'd grab a lower intake gasket kit and plan on yanking the lower at some point

Also, your dist is not plugged in.

You'll want to plumb up the charcoal canister. Line from rear of car connects to one port and then the line with solenoid connects to front port of intake manifold. I can see the vac line present, but it's not connected to canister

Yes. The vac line connected to that probably runs to the front of intake manifold. If so, connect to that short 4-5" vac line hanging off the canister.

On the other port, there should be a hard plastic vac line running from just behind pass apron to the canister. It comes from the gas tank

Honestly, I'd pull out the intake, and some of the other misc items, and give that entire engine a good degreasing and wash.

@karthief i belive the hose from the tab and tac are broken if thats where you refer i get the vac line from. I pulled a vac hose and connected it to the egr before and i belive it was to much pull because it just shut the car off

Check out the web pages for vac line routing and hook up everything in its proper place, reset the base idle per instuctions and then check your tps per instructions.
Have you resolved your voltage problem?

I am probably stating the obvious here, but you are also missing the hoses from the A/C to the dryer.
