Posting this for my field tech.

He has a 2000 V-6 with a blown motor. He also has a 1990 5.0 & 5-speed. Can the motor fit in the car & what's mechanically involved, and how can the electronics be interfaced?

Many Thanks from a Classics forum regular! :SNSign:

There's a ton involved in doing the swap. Motor mounts, wiring harness, rear end, suspension peices, tranny, fitment of engine into new endgine bay, etc... There's a lot to do, andit can get very expensive. Having a donor car is nice too, but I would still say a stock 5.0 is not going to be worth it unless he's going to rebuild it and add some major performance parts to it. Do a serach in the forum board, there's a bunch of threads already on this and what people say about it.

Number one you would have to switch to a 94-95 stang k-member that will be compatible with the 302. You may be better off to get a complete wiring harness from the firewall out, in order to have all of the connections. The major pain would be computer programming. If you want to do away with some of the computer stuff and just put a 4 bbl. on there, it would probably be much easier.
