5.0 sensor stuff...

I basically bought a 91 motor from a friend, including the wiring harness, complete intake, computer, ignition and injection. My plan is for it to go in my 66 mustang, which is obviously not wired for fuel injection. i know quite a bit about the 5.0, and im pretty certain its a stand alone system, so i can just power the computer, switch it on, and use mass air, O2, and tps sensors. can i ignore the BAP and inertial switch?

also, what size are stock 5.0 fuel lines? i think supply is 5/16 and return 1/4...is his correct?

The BAP or MAP sensor is to measure the atmospheric pressure and is used to help set the air/fuel ratio. The computer will set code 22 and run in limp mode.

The inertia switch protects you from fire if the car is in an accident. It shuts off the fuel pump to reduce the fire hazard. Unless you are flameproof, you should install it.

thanks for the diagrams, ive been looking for some good ones...can i just take out the egr, without putting the car into super rich mode? or if i do that will it trigger the computer to suck?

You can remove the EGR, but the gas mileage will suffer. The EGR closes at idle and full throttle, so it doesn't cost any HP. There are EGR elminators and block off plates if you need them. If you are going to do EFI, might as well have all the stuff that makes the car run right without setting any codes.
