hey i dont know if this is the right place to post this. ive looked for a motor swap section but here go's. im droping a 94-95 5.0 HO it to my 98 V6 body. the problem im running in to is that the motor mounts dont line up. have the frame mounts changed between 95 and 98 i wouldnt thing they would. it seams like the motor is siting too far back and the heater hoses on the 5.0 are hitting the fire wall. also the transmission sits back about an inch too far back and the k member wont line up. i know i cant have been the only one to try this swap and the lack of info is disheartning. im not a full time gear head but im no idiot eather lol. i just for some reason cant figgure out what the issue is if any one can enlightin me i would greatly apreaceate it thanks im in southeast ga if any one is near by then cool beans mabey we could put our heads together.

The K-member is different between a V6, OHV V8, and OHC V8. You need a V8 OHV K-member from a 94-95 Mustang. Or an after market tubular K-member.

Try car-part.com for one source of salvage yard sources.

I'm assuming that you have a plan for engine management.

If you need service manuals, wiring diagrams, I maybe able to help. PM if interested.

Here's a sample of some of the posts available.

Are you positive the 95 K-member is from a 5.0 V8? Remember, the mounting points are different between a OHV V8 and a 4.6 Modular motor.

I do not believe the frame mounting points have changed. It should be a simple K-member swap. However, if it were me I would strongly consider a tubular K-member for clearance reasons. It will certainly make it easier to work on it due to increased access.

As a warning, the 94-95 PCM is a "tweener". IE, it is not a full ODB2 PCM. As such, it's a very different beast. You will swapping back from a car that was a full ODB2 PCM.

IMO you are naive to do this swap without a full set of wiring diagrams from BOTH model years. Why? Because the resultant car is actally a hybrid mix of the two model years. The slight differences in the wiring harness is likely to be your undoing. I hope your electrical trouble shooting is very strong.

Good luck.
