lets see yours in the snow!

I was out all day playing in it in my Cherokee and i got in some stuff that was rough even with 4wd. It's times like this that i'm thankful for keeping a 4wd vehicle in my stable.

we're sitting here looking out the window watching everyone try and get their vehicles out. when it takes 4-5 guys pushing to get you out of your parking space....thats a sign you need to stay off the road.

we've been inside most of the day eating spaghettiOs and hot pocketz. We walked the dog down to High St. but it didnt seem like anything was open

this weather is crazy! i dont ever remember it being this bad ever!

that's because it hasn't since the mid 90's

I went out to my old neighborhood to visit a friend and he was stuck and couldn't get out. I went to the neighbor's driveway just to turn around, but the drive kinda goes down about a foot and a half down from the road and it's a gravel driveway, well it had drifted over and there had to be 2 full feet of snow and my Cherokee just sunk right down in it, and the ground isn't frozen so i was in mud under that. I had to put it in 4 Low and do the forward/backward/repeat thing just to get out. Then i went down to the driveway next to that which i know is pavement, and i still got stuck just from so much snow. I've got regular street tires on my Cherokee (not even all terrain) but i still got through eveyrthing ok. If i had some aggressive tires i would've hit some fields

Man makes me feel bad for complaining about the 2" we had yesterday :(
I wana move back to Hawaii, atleast there it only snows at 10000 feet.

See, this is why those of us living in the midwest have what we call a DD, it takes only one winter to figure out, if you have a 5.0, you might just as well not own a car. Totally missed that blast here in Chicago- I woulda liked the money, but its ok not to have it just the same. Taking tomorrow off?:nice:

i understand all you hating on dd mustangs that may see bad weather... but for me, it's either dd my 5.0, or sell it for something else that is more suited for year round use. i'm a student, with insane insurance rates. two vehicles are out of the question. i did that for a while, but can't anymore. it's either ditch the 5.0, which i won't, or drive it in bad weather when necessary, which only happens very rarely. this is the first year it hasn't been in a covered parking spot also.... but i have to deal with it.
