looks good Very interesented to hear all the headaches you found while doing this. But I agree hood. Now see about getting some #'s to post up and the sheet I wanna drool over your torque curve.

about how many hours did you spend doing all the work on it?

what about the ECC and the wiring harness? do you use the stang ECC or expo ECC?

are you going to take it to the track or a dyno? any sound clips?

is this a stock 5.4? like out of a f-150 or expo? or has this 5.4 been built up?

i think this is so cool!!!!

Dyno and track yes, as soon as I can. Sounds clips coming. The 5.4 has Comp Cams 268's and Ported and Polished heads. Its out of a 2001 Expedition with 25,000 miles.

I don't know off hand what the Lightning's compression is when using the factory blower. What is the c/r on the 5.4 you installed?

Good luck with this interesting project.

I think its 9.5 to 1 & and I believe the lighning is 8.5

I saw a Stang with a 5.4 Navi motor...fit quite nicely. He was a little disapointed with his track times (mid 13's) but that was untuned. Don't know if he has been to the track again. He posts here so maybe he will show up and give his latest.

what are u using as a computer? im sure the stock mustang computer is not gonna work with this. or are you using the computer from the 5.4? and if you did does the 4.6 wiring harness plug into the 5.4l computer? im very interested in this swap. if u could email me at ceracer33@hotmail.com with details on what all i need to do it i would appreciate it.

i got this same set up i used the 5.4 intake and 4.6 ECU

lmao....kinda ghetto-rigged the hood, but still a bada$$ setup. Now all you need is a blower, and you'll make some MAD power.

resurrection, but oh well........I'd also like more info on the swap. A 5.4 MAY be in my Stang's future.

You top end is going to suffer with those truck cams and truck intake. If and when you put a lightning S/C on it that will be worth it.
