Hey everybody let me start things off with an apology for adding another question to this damned navi swap topic. I've Google searched a lot for this swap but after finding differences in mod motor to mod motor I realize I need some insight on this build after all. My car was originally a 2v 4.6 that I had did the 4v mark viii swap to. That motor was a blast but after a couple summers of mostly running it hard a blown head gasket gave me an excuse to go for a navi motor to swap to. I landed this navi motor from a guy who was unsure what year it came from. I've got my valve covers and oil pan off and I see that the motor has been either slightly neglected or just bad oil was used due to the consistent brown stain on everything. The cross hatch is mostly worn off the cylinder walls. I've made up my mind that the stock oil pump should probably be swapped out for a high volume (because I know how I'll use this) but after researching and rephrasing my search words I'm finding a lot of variants in oil pumps. So Basically I'm wondering if theirs a way to identify what year this motors from because I have a feeling that ill be adding to my parts list before this swap is over
