It has been a while but didn't someone post a link to a very descriptive write-up on using the ranger, bronco II, or the areostar rear axles and the sn95 front spindle setup? If it was on here I need that link again.

Thanks,
Nate

Why not just use SN95 Axles?

Because the Sn-95 axles are longer by .75 inch. I mistakenly put them on my car when I first did my swap and they rubbed the rear fenders like hell. You have to use "Fox" length 5-lug axles from a Ranger, Aerostar, etc.

What in the world kind of wheels did you have on your car? I have Cobra Brakes on the rear of my car with Bullitt wheels and my tires dont rub at all and the car is lowered about 3/4" all the way around. In fact I think the car looks a little better with the slightly wider rear axles as the tire fills out the fenderwell a little better than stock!

Are you sure you did not have the 99-04 Axles as those are Wider and will not work on a Fox car?

We did the sn95 swap on my pals 89. We changed the entire rear from a 95 cobra to his 89. His tires in the rear rubbed like a mutha. I know many say they have not had a problem but we did. Another buddy who is a body man had to roll his fender lips. Problem solved.

Did you use SN95 Wheels, or something aftermarket with a different offset?

We put on 17" Chrome Y2K's, then we tried his 16" black Cobra R's. I have no clue about the off-set of them. I know the Y2K's were bought for his 95. And the Cobra R's (knock-offs) were bought for his Nitto's. But thats all the info I know, it could be a different off-set.

I would say it was an offset prolem as I have Factory Bullitts on my GT with SN95 Axles and my tires are not even close to rubbing.

What size tires are you running?

I want to get oem Bullitts as well, and have been wondering which axles would be best...

5-lug conversion

just wondering, would it be wiser to do the sn95 front conversion, or just swap out the rotors with the 5 lug ones in that kit. you can get them same front rotors from north racecars for 99 plus shipping. i also want to upgrade my brakes too in the future so most likely the sn95 conversion would be the answer.

Looks great. :D Do you think there's clearance to run a 275 width tire?

I'm wondering that as well. Can you use those rotors with any SN95 spindles & calipers?
