5 pt Seatbelt Help

Im installing 5 pts into my vert with a 6pt cage. It is a weekend warrior if that and all I wanna know is.. Where the 2 points of the seatbelt come out of the back of the seat, can I drill a hole through the cage and fasten the seatbelt with a nut and bolt through my cage ( the bar that goes behind the seat ). Is it track legal?

Probably depends on what rules the track abides by. Check out the NHRA/IHRA websites for specifics on the belt mounting points. They should have the rules on their respective sites. You do have a crossbar running behind the seats to mount the belts to, correct? I'm almost certain that is a requirement, and I'm sure that's what you meant you'd be drilling holes through, but I wanted to make sure.

yup, i cant weld or I would weld brackets haha

Well NHRA rules did not mention that there is welding required. They said bolts can not be ran through the seat belt webbing. So I guess I'm good to go..
