What is good for street tires, drag radials, slicks...

I ask because on my first tiem to the track with the stang and street tires I pulled a 2.127, pretty darn good in my book...

Anyone else?

2.1 is considered pretty poor i believe
the best ive done with nitto drag radials is 2.0 but thats pretty bad also
I have bone stock suspension thats pretty old and loose and
I just suck at launching, but oh well its still fun!
I hope to go to the track this weekend and try my nittos again and some MT Et streets, hope i dont break anything, but I hope to hit at least 1.8 60's!

I pulled 2.0 60fts on a regular basis with my nitto D/R and with my street tires. I added drag launch springs and 10-way adjustable shocks in the rear. But no subframes or anything else. This got me in the 1.9 range fairly consistently if the track would hold. Adding the 331, I was able to pull a 1.86 on my D/Rs, but it was one of the first runs on the track that day. I couldn't repeat it.

Tonight we should have my 31 spline setup ready to go. Next w/e I'll be headed to the track with my Nitto D/Rs and my 17" ET Streets. I also added Sub-frames, and Upper Control Arms and Adj. Lowers. Once we get dialed in, I hope to drop my 60ft times of the D/Rs and then even further on the ET Streets. But to confuse it all a bit, I'm going from 3.73s to 3.55s. LOL

2.1 is not bad for street tires.

My best street tire 60ft was a 1.9 and my avg. is somewere in the high 2.0 low 2.1 range.

From what I have seen a good solid 60ft with DR is going to be in the 1.7 or low 1.8 range.

Practice and paying attention to what the car is doing is what it takes.

My best ever was a 1.91 on 245-50-16 Nangkang street tires. 2.1 is decent for your first time out, with some work you should be in the 2.0's which is pretty good for street tires and near stock suspension. I've gone 1.70 on 245-50-16 nitto DR's, 1.67 on 315-35-17 nitto DR's, and 1.64 on 26X10.5X16 ET streets that are now almost 7 years old. LOL!
