Hello,

My dad is restoring a 64.5 convertible and it is primed and ready for paint. He is wondering what color the inside of the fenders were painted in the factory, is it body color or a black? Thanks in advance.

Here are some pics of the restoration...

I think they were primer but not 100% sure.
The radiator support looks like a 1965 car, not a 1964-1/2.

Hi,
From my research, they were body color. the inner aprons (wheel wells), mud shields, were black. Do re-check that rad support. The early cars had a unique front support with vents on the battery side.
Nice setup,you've got there.
