65 Wiring questions

I have a 65 K code fastback that I had a engine fire in some years back. I put a wiring harness from a 66 in it because I liked the guages better and was going to make it a GT. I have now decided to take it back to original.

I just got (2) 65 6-cylinder coupes, for hauling them off. (They were mainly just rusty old shells, not a great find.lol) They both had good original underdash wiring harnesses, though.

My question is: Are the 6 cylinder and V8 Under dash harnesses the same? I need it to be able to run my Rally pak set up as well.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

I don't see why there would be any difference. don't know about the Rally pac.

there is a difference between 65 and 66. the difference is light and guages. speed of wipers and speed of heaters blowers

I know there is a difference between the years, it's the difference between the 65 6cyl. and 65 V8 that I am wondering about.

I6 and V8 under dash harness are the same but the GT under the dash harness is different. The GT has the fog light wires harness.

That is what I thought, the midlife66 deal that warhorse had given me made it more clear, and 12sec67 finalizes what I believed in the first place. Thanks everyone. Now to check for continuity and the installation of this harness.
