I currently have the entire steering and suspension removed from the front of my 66 coupe preparing to install new open tracker components.

While looking the car over, I grabbed the pitman arm and gave it a tug. There is about 3/16 of "slop" when pulling the pitman arm back and forth. Is this slop normal or should I be concerned? The car has about 90K original miles and it doesn't seem like it should be worn out.

I have checked out http://www.stangerssite.com/steeringsysteminfo.html and it looks like a nightmare to adjust and nearly impossible to remove with the engine still in the car.
