67 Galaxie w/ 91 5.0 EFI Swap not Running Right

Sorry I have no tech help, but me and my uncle just started doing a 5.0 efi swap into his 65 Galaxy Conv. I haven't seen to many other Galaxies with an efi swap.

What headers did you use?

When I was a teenager a friends older brother had a 67 Galaxie fastback.
It came with a 390 auto then he dropped in a 428 with a 4spd trans.
That boat would burn rubber forever.

Did you check the codes? Get an OBD-I scanner, like 20 bucks. This usually will tell you if you forgot to plug something in (saying it's not working, or bad), or will tell you you have a bad part. Good luck.

Well, you are talking about not having headers... Meaning you're running the exhaust right off the heads?? Could be your problem with no O2 sensors

Dump the codes and see what the computer says is wrong…

Here's the link to dump the computer codes with only a jumper wire or paper clip and the check engine light, or test light or voltmeter. I’ve used it for years, and it works great.

IF your car is an 86-88 stang, you'll have to use the test lamp or voltmeter method. There is no functional check engine light on the 86-88's except possibly the Cali Mass Air cars.

Codes have different answers if the engine is running from the answers that it has when the engine isn't running. It helps a lot to know if you had the engine running when you ran the test.

Trouble codes are either 2 digit or 3 digit, there are no cars that use both 2 digit codes and 3 digit codes.
