Does anyone have a better idea on how to wire inboard headlights on a 67 Shelby clone? Can you still use the inboard lights for high beams without running into inspection problems? I live in MA. Is there a service manual with the original wiring spelled out?

If your gonna use halogen bulbs, I would suggest using a relay to power all 4 headlights. That way you wont overload the headlight switch. If you want I can draw you up a diagram to do it. I also have the original diagram for the 67 stang, it wont have the shelby stuff, but it does have everything stock mustang. Let me know and I'll email it to you.

It's not very complicated. All Shelby did was....

Use the little plastic clamshell "quick-splice" things. You know, the ones where you lay the two wires being spliced together side by side in the bottom half and fold over the top half? For each light he spliced one wire into the high-beam wire and one into the headlight ground wire. The splices were done right where the factory headlight wires come out of the main harness at the base of the radiator support. My only problem is that the original ones were white and all the ones I can find are blue.
