Where can I get a Shelby tail panel that doesn't require cutting the stock taillight panel? LED or otherwise?
I've seen some that have the reflector housing built-in..do they require cutting? I wanna be able to return the car to stock..for some apparent reason.

Thanks!

Unfortunately there;s no such thing that I know of. Some people use a '68 Panel that uses T-bird taillights and requires less cutting, but it still needs to be cut to allow room for the sockets for the taillights. I know what you mean about not wanting to cut your car, it's a big step and one you need to be very sure of before you make the first cut. But it's not like it's irreversible, any decent bodyshop could put a new taillight panel in without too much expense if you ever decided to restore your car to stock.

I have tested the no-cut LED Shelby taillight kit from Mustang Project and it is fantastic. Very nicely made, very bright, and the sequential action works great.

I wish I'd known about those before I did mine! I wouldv'e gladly laid out the money to not have to cut it. By the time I bought nice Cougar lights, wiring harness and taillight boxes I have nearly that into it anyway.

The owner of the "mustang project" lives about a mile from me and is a member of the local Mustang club. Good guy!

Thanks for the replies!!

I have seen that site and at first, the price seemed high but with what it does and as clean an install it seems.....looks like a good deal. And it's in Austin! I just might go check it out in person next time I'm there!

Thanks all!! Lots of nice cars in those sigs!!!

Does anyone know if this panel fills the gap between the shelby endcaps and the tallight panel? I bought the shelby decklid and endcaps and am now looking at running the original taillights and filling the area with fiberglass or possibly getting this panel and going with the full shelby rear.

You're absolutely right, definitely make sure before cutting. My 70 fb had the shelby/cougar light conversion done when I bought it and I'm planning on returning it to the original lights. If anybody knows a good body shop in the Mid-Atlantic area let me know, this is not something I want to do myself or someone who is not very good.
