the heads are c80e-f heads, I also was wondering if I need to put hardened valve seats in them too?

Really depends on which head you have. There are at least 2 C8 heads. Is "4V" cast into the head anywhere?? If so, then it's the rarer 54cc chambered head and will send compression way up (10.0:1 i think?)

They are on par with E7's, but you have the compression bump with the C8 heads. E7's flow better on the exhaust side. I believe you should at least change the exhaust valve seats as well to hardened seats.

By the time you put some $$ into the head though, you would be better off buying a GT-40 or GT40P and milling them down a bit to bump the CR up to the levels of the C8 head.

As for cam and 1.6's...depends on the rest of the combo.

Depends on what you are trying to build up really.

I think those 4V heads are fairly rare. Don't know what the market is for them though.

Are there better heads out there? Without knowing your entire potential combo, i would say Ported E7's, or either the GT40/GT40P head would be a better choice. But like i said...need to know your goals

My goal is to have a good street car that will take off pretty good off the line I'm trying to spend as little bit of money as possible and make it as fast as I can. I got these heads for 220$ with crane roller rockers, screw in studs, valves and springs, just machined. I thought they would be better then my e7s but now I am kinda regretting buying them, have you ever used these heads?
