I purchased a fiberglass GT/MACH 1 hood scoop for my 69 fastback. Question: Does this take a grille in the front of it or not? I have seen pictures both ways and have not been able to find anyone that would just sell the grille and seal. If it does call for a grille, does anyone know where I can get one and does anyone have any up close detailed pictures of how it fits on the hood scoop. I did find one grille but after I got it, it does not appear to fit the scoop. It is not wide enough and I would have a big gap at the top or bottom . Any help is greatly appreciated! I am kind of in a panic over this!

69/70 did have a grill from the factory but the 68-1/2 CJ did not, IIRC.

Well, here's a pic I recently took of the underside of my scoop for someone who needed a measurment on another forum if it helps with how it fits.

Also, Virginia Classic Mustang among others I'm sure does repro the grill for around $30 or so.
