I decided that while i'm biding my time to get a 351C, I might as well build up my '71 302 2V. I plan on doing a simple rebuild and want to add an Edelbrock Performer intake and cam package, plus an Edelbrock electric choke 600 cfm carb. The rebuild kit I plan on using is a Fel-Pro Sealed Power kit with forged pistons and a 9.75:1 compression ratio. Is this a good kit? Has anyone used any of their kits in the past? I was reading that the stock HP for a '71 302 was around 210, what should it be after I add the Edelbrock parts? I also plan on adding a Summit exhaust with Thrush glasspacks, plus rebuilding the tranny and tracking down a Hurst shifter. Then i'd like to add 3.73s to the rear axle, which already has a Traction-Lok, then maybe some subframe connectors and traction bars. How does this all sound for a 16 year old on a budget?

I don't like edelbrock carbs, but that package, assuming it's tuned nicely, will probably make 260hp at the flywheel. (190-195 at the wheels)
