How many do we have on the board?

I have a 73 Mach 1 that I just restored. Still have more to do of course, but it's getting very close to being "complete" if there is such a thing.

My Mach has a 351 2V engine, C4 transmission, 9" rear open, completely redone suspension, etc.

I'm going to have to have the transmission rebuilt. It's leaking pretty bad and I eventually want to put in a 408 so I need to get it beefed up anyway. It's been a long process getting this car restored, but it's definitely been worth it.

No Mach - but...

'71 convertible.
302 with Edelbroch performer package.
Stock C4
3.00 open 8 inch
Granada disks
550# contour coils w/1" drop
15x7 Magnums, 225/60-15 BF radial TAs
Grabber Blue
White interior/top

Fun to drive! Looking hard at r&p but not going TCP. No way, no how!

Not quite a Mach, But still damn fun!

mine is a mach, but its in a pretty plain jane form right now.

no rear or front spoiler or stripes, and its a single color.

It does have the naca hood though.

Yeah... before NASA was NASA, it was NACA. :)
Make any sense?
NASA (NACA) designed the scoops
that were used on the hood.
It was a design that took in air
without actually protruding into the
flow of the air around the vehicle,
disrupting areodynamics.

Back to the original topic:
I am a 71,2,3 owner at heart.
They are by far my favorite Stangs
and I would own a FB or Mach in a
heartbeat if I had the chance.
My ol' man had a 71 Mach (original owner)
when I was growing up and sold it
when the family hit hard times.
Both of us dream of getting another,
but the timing is never right.

I haven't had much time to play with mine lately (college preparation for son), but I'll be painting her soon.

Nice. I think you have the same setup that I have.. 351 2V, 9" rear, but not sure what gears.. probably the same. Not sure about the transmission. I hope it is not the FMX, but I dont' know how to tell the difference between a C4 and an FMX.. It's definitely not the C6. I'm going to the transmission shop next week to get it rebuilt and adding a shift kit and a better tq converter.

There have been some excellent discussions on here about FMX vs. C4 (the links I had to these threads no longer work  :( ) which left me believing the FMX is an excellent transmission (maybe even better than the C4) - just hard to get parts for. Your I.D. plate (if nothings been changed in the past 30+ years :p ) will have a "W" for C4 or an "X" for FMX.

All those cars look awesome, Im also really starting to like the yellow on the mach 1's. Im restoring a 1973 mach 1, i just finished detailing the engine bay and the front suspension and brakes today. I need alot of body work now, tail light panel, battery tray sheet metal replaced, floor pans, and rear fender wells then I can throw in the new interior I do have. I wish I knew how to weld, I could have had all the sheet metal replaced by now.
