Hey guys, I have a 79 Capri Fox Body with 9.15-inch front brakes. Do you know if it's possible to directly install the 10 inch ones without replacing the calipers or brackets? Thanks!

Thread 'Fox Rotor diameter'

What is the diameter of an early Fox body 4-lug front brake rotor? Did the GTs come with a larger 4-lug rotor?

Looks like you will need new spindles.

It looks like it, indeed. It's a shame; it's a bit tricky to find them in Spain. I'll keep an eye on eBay, but I am not sure yet if the caliper is the same or if it would also need to be replaced. Thanks!

If you make the move and have wheels that will clear them go to the 87-93 front brakes. You are not going to gain much going from a 9.15 to 10” rotor that a good set of pads wouldn’t make up for.

Not sure if it will help but you can try www.car-part.com as you can find the spindles on there for a lot less than what’s on eBay. This site looks at salvage / recycle yards here in the US. They may or may not ship internationally but I think it would be worth a try.

In your situation, with shipping being what it is etc...

I would find a [kit] somewhere online. Yes, I understand they are expensive but in the long run, I think you will come out ahead by getting it all in one order. In the US, we have the luxury of running down to O'Reilie's (however TF you spell it) for the odds, and ends.
