8.8 inch explorer rearend

hey whats up. i was wondering if a 8.8 inch rearend out of a ford explorer will fit into my mustang. its an 85 gt. i had asked a question about a rear end out of a truck but a few people here told me it wouldent. i can get a good deal on a 8.8 out of a ford explorer but im not sure it will fit. thanks guys.

well once you figure out how to mount leaf springs, move your tranny tunnel over 1" and then deal with the difference in width, it should work out great for you minus the quad shocks.
