84 Capri RS T-Top- worth it?

Found this car and wanted to know the general opinion on wether it's worth the asking price:
For sale or for trade. 1984 mercury capri RS. orignally 5.0/4-speed maual. now rebuilt 5.0 police interceptor with tremec t-5 5 speed. engine has about 5000 miles on rebuild. Edelbrock intake carb and matching cam. clutch has less than 150 miles on it. new 5 inch tach with shift light. has custom exhaust with dual class packs and dumps in front of rear axle. car has t-tops on it that do not leak. wheels, breaks, and tires have been converted over to 5-lug swap. new brakes all around. can come with extra parts including a 1969 351w block with 2 cranks, 30 over pistons and polished rods, a stock 5-0 upper and lower intake with stock injectors. Asking $3100 with added parts.

I agree, the SSP motors really weren't any different than the run-of-the-mill HO 5.0's. If anything, the dude selling it may or may not know that; he might only know that it came out of an SSP Fox, which is entirely possible because there were a decent number of 'em made back in the day, and it's definitely an improvement over the older non-roller 5.0 motors. The fact that it's a roller block and likely has E7's is a nice bonus over what the Capri RS had stock, right there. :nice:
 
FWIW, the term "Police Interceptor" was never applied to the Fox Mustang, or any engine for that matter. PI is the model description given to the Crown Victoria cop cars. The engines in both the SSP Stang and the CVPI are mechanically identical to the civilian models.
