hey man has anybody converted their 79-86 auto to a 5spd? what do i need as far as the console goes?

nobody owns a early fox? i know i need a new crossmember but is the console different? i have a pick u part salvage yard about 30mins from my house but can't make it till the end of next week so i was just trying to make a list before i go..

The bezel around the shifter is different from the AOD to the T-5, plus you'll need (or at least want) both the upper (leather/vinyl) and lower (rubber) shifter boots. There's pics on 50resto of both, for reference, although I wouldn't recommend buying 'em new unless you absolutely can't find some used ones, anywhere.

Otherwise, the consoles are the same.

Far as I've ever read, the clutch pedal box is pretty much the same from '79 all the way to '93. I believe the pedals might've changed slightly with the SN95's, but otherwise, I'd say it's all the same.
