85 toyota truck with 4 wheel discs brakes.

i looked at an 85 toyota 4x4 truck today with a 383 chevy in it. it has rear disc brakes on it but i can't find anywhere online that they came with that. if i were to need parts the brakes. where and how could i get them if this is a conversion kit which i think it may be. can anybody help me with this.

They came stock with drum brakes so this is definitely a conversion. Why not just ask the owner what he used to convert the rear brakes?

they were like that when he got it and they don't work. it needs lines i believe because i heard air coming from back there when the brake was pumped.

try some monte carlo, camaro, etc.. brake pads at the parts store, monte carlo is what most conversion kits use because they're very common at a parts store, look around and see what pads/calipers the companies use these days, our 75' landcruiser has rear disk and i think it's from the front of a monte carlo too..it's worth checking. Take the pads into a good parts store and give some suggestions to what they might be, if they dont help ya then go elsewhere, somebody can find what you need

thanks, i did some more searches and i found something about caddy brakes being used as well
