im swapping my 86 5.0 to a carb and i plan on running a holley red pump, im trying to wire it up, i removed the fuelie harness and have the fuel pump relay wires still sticking out of the fire wall, now i need to know what to do with them, someone had sent me the anwser a while ago but since the user data went down i lost my pm's and im not sure, can anyone tell me what wire goes where etc, btw i believe it is 3 wires coming out of the firewall into the engine compartment. any ideas/ comments are awesome

thanks
jason

I did a carb swap on my 89 about 2 years ago. I didn't bother useing the factory wiring though. I bought a circuit breaker and ran my fan, fuel pump and ignition off of a painless switch panel.

Why not just follow the wires comming from the tank. Then you will know which wires do what.

i know whetre the wires go, but the wires im talking about pop through the fire wall and one needs to be grounded and one needs power or something to make the relay work that is bulit in, 86 was the only year the wiring was setup like this, every other year the wiring was under the seat.

I have an 86 GT, and the relay to the fuel pump is under the driverside seat...my car is gutted right now so I could test the wires and tell you whats power/ground/remote if you need.
