86 Fox Body Project

Who cares if he wants to do a mini tub, he was also talking about putting a cage in in, so id guess he is planning on drag racing, if thats the case the mini tub would work well to get the suspension right the first time.

Not sure what size 325 you were talking about but a 325/50/15 will "fit" but it in my opinion it wont fit right on a street car, if i was only taking it to the track i would run it, but on a street car no way. Mini tub, narrowed rear and you can get the tire nice and tucked in and have the car sit nice and low

I think for his first car he needs to keep things realistic. Look at his engine combo, 315's will be plenty.

I'm running 285's and im happy... and they look meaty

Well, thanks for the info guys, I'm going to worry about the more important things before i get a mini tub, when it gets time for a motor, and after i'm done, i'll think about a tub kit.

Well, I haven't got a chance to work on my car lately, tomorrow i have a funeral, and I am hoping to get home in time to work on it. We get 3 weeks on Christmas, thank god! I am going to get some crap done over break!

I got home around 3, got the interior cleans out, and looking to start cleaning the engine compartment tomorrow, looks like i'm getting my dad's motor, out his v8 ranger, it has trick flow stage 1 cam, elderbrock upper and lower intake, ported and polished heads, etc. it's a 12 second truck the way it sits, and i'm getting the motor, he is building a 9/10 second motor for it...:hail2:

Thats how my 10.5 fr500s and 315s sit. That motor will make your car feel like a rocket ship. IF you havent done so yet, I would source a MAF and and A9 computer. The SD setup will not tolerate that combo. I ran an eddy performer intake with some ported gt40s and the SD comp would not compensate for the increased air. I didnt even touch the cam.

The truck is light and it will about about put your head through the back window when he gets on the gas! But i figured the mustang would be a little slower because of the weight difference.

Thats what i thought also?Maybe not now?As far as 315's fitting on a fox?I bet some will some wont!I had goodyear GSD3's 315's and they were way wider then the nitto, sumo's,BFG's and a few other 315's.At the time the GSD3's were the widest 315 on the market. For looks yes they are awsome! But not needed for traction!Several cars here running 255 MAX and running low 10's high 9's.Plus the GSD3's were almost $500 a tire!peace
