86 Fox Body Project

Well, there is the piece to hold up the back of the seat, and i'm not sure how that bolts up, and there is nothing to hold the of the seat in? I'm not sure if i'm just to dumb to see how it fits, or if it just has something missing?

The backs of the seat fold down, so there is a hinge on the bottom iirc and that is all that bolts in. The bottom just kind of wedges in. No bolts.

Okay, I think i'm about to trade my hood for a 3" cowl, 6"'s is just to much... But i'm like 95% sure i'm getting my dad's motor cause he's going to build a 347... So, in the mean time, what all should i do to the car, besides getting the interior put back together?

5 lug conversion and coilovers. that is by far my favorite thing i have done to my car. those things change the whole aspect of a car. thats really the only thing i would do, besides getting that drivers side QTR panel molding on :D
then you will have a GREAT looking and running car (if you do get your dads motor)

How easy of a fix is this?

pretty sure a guy on corral did this, i think mabye MFE is the username

I don't think MFE is running an LS

Yeah i dont think so either, but how would that work with the engine set back? I'mm sure i can get near perfect weight distribution with the 302 block I'm at 56/44 right now with the stock engine, and battery location. Moving the battery to the back, adding the roll bar and using the new engine with the electric fan, aluminum radiator and even lighter seats and i think i can get it to 52/48

Stop it with the LS talk,,,,,,,,,, it's a ford ---- first on race day ---- passes everything but a gas station,,, Stangboy don't let these fools talk you into a ls,, these ford guys ---- ummm us ford guys will treat you like ,,,,,,,,, well just say no way! and i hope nobody will let you know a 500 caddy will drop right in that baby either!! mini tub it stang, tub it you know you want to - anyone can take a hammer and move a shock - tub it and make it yours, unique, and the experience will last a lifetime. good luck on your build and i hope we get pictures along the way.

i will say it... LS1 is a GREAT ENGINE and i would also love to have one in my car, but i wouldnt dare raise the hood on it at the track! the power they make is awesome with just basic mods. if they wouldve made the F-body a better looking car, i would definately have one!
and in a lightweight fox... that motor would be awesome!
:hide:

i totally understand that! it would be a TON of work and wiring nightmare to get a LS motor to work... and by that time you couldve easily built a 302 to make good power.
that link still isnt working for me...
