86 interior swap to 93 - ebrake question

Can anyone explain how they swapped from the '4eye' ebrake handle mechanism to the aero (87-93) ebrake system?

I've got an ex-4eye car, now aero nose, and got ahold of 95% of a black interior out of a 93. I've got the dash mounted, all interior panels, etc - just need to finish the console. To do so, I need to change the ebrake.

Any help is appreciated.

And before you bash me about changing to a 4-eye....I bought the car this way!

That should be a direct fit. I put an 01 e brake system and handle into my 81 and I had to move it forward, but all the foxes in my yard looked like they mounted in the same area. Does the console not allow it to line up?

They mount on the opposite side from each other. When I put a 4 eye e brake handle in my car (it weighs A LOT LESS) I had to re-drill the holes. Other than that, it's just a bolt in thing.

So the e-brake assembly sits in the same slot, just has mounting bolts on the right side for the 87+ cars?

Seems easy enough.
