I'm not sure, it's smooth bore, no neckdown like the fox maf, and has a 4 bolt square flange on the intake side.

I checked the fuel pressure yesterday and engine codes as well. With the pump on, car off I'm getting 41psi. I haven't got a chance to check it while driving yet. As for codes I have an egr, fuel relay, evap code. All of these have been removed from the car or bypassed. No MAF codes though

Well I take it back, it's not a stock TB, still not sure on the maf housing. With my metric tape measure, they look to be about 75mm at the opening, and not much smaller at the blade. So either 70 or 75mm. The MAF looks to be the same, and other the the PO silicone in the intake pipe and a chunk of well casing to get the silicone couplers to work, looks to be the same

I see an issue. Mustang electronics on a different housing. It looks to be an 94-95 sn95 housinh but using 87-93 electronics.

The electronics need to match the housing meaning you need an 87-93 MAF, or get the correct 94-95 electronics.

As for the TB, it's an explorer 65 that was not fully modified to work. It can be, but you need a mustang TB to pirate. The throttle linkage is not correct, and the tps is the explorer tps which may not be compatible.

Can you get your hands on a stock 87/93 TB?

Scratch that. The TB linkage is converted. I'm just not sure that TPS is compatible. Might be able to just swap to a mustang tps.

I'm not sure what it is, I do know that the tps mount has a billet piece that seems to correct the placement of the tps over the tab.

You'd have to hook up s multimeter and verify voltage output is correct.

0.6-1.1 volts at idle, and 4.5 volts at wot

I've done that when I was looking for dead spots. It tested ok.

So I'm guessing that I have an upgraded maf and tb I didn't know about.

Is it the maf housing or the sensor that is calibrated for the # injectors?

You need a factory paired MAF sensor and housing. Can't swap electronics. That small bore the wires sit in is critical to how it calculates airflow.

So with 19# injectors you either need to track down a stock 55maf housing, or the correct electronics for that housing. The part number for those electronics is F2VF-12B579-A2A.

Just to point out...see how it says afh55 on the electronics? That signifies the electronics are tuned for the 55mm housing

I think you can buy maf new, or pm me your address and I'll send you one, likely with a sensor on it.

They are actually fairly cheap new, even sn95. They sell adapters to bolt on the end to run a stock air intake tube.

Here's my sn95 MAF and adapter

Yours cross references to an 89-90 MAF. Slight revision on 1991 so 91-93 used and f1 part number

I would say this would be a significant reason the car isn't running properly

I have a 55 maf with sensor in it I picked up thinking the one installed was not matched to the diameter of the TB. But looks like it is now useless.

So I'm guessing the smaller sensor is getting saturated prematurely?

Throw that one in and see how it runs. I'd reset the ecu and then install.

The larger MAF with 55 mm electronics is probably telling the ECU you are seeing less airflow that you really were. Probably why it was idling up.

Don't chuck the larger MAF though. You just need to find the sensor with the p:n I listed and install it on that.

Running the 55mm MAF with 65mm TB is probably costing you 1-2hp. I wouldn't swear it. Get car running right and then upgrade later
