Paint and Body 87-93 GT hatch on a 1985 Capri?

Hey guys, my friend has a 85 Capri and was wondering if a GT hatch will fit. I know it’ll bolt on but my concern is where it latches and and fits around the lights. I’m not so sure. What do you guys think?

I believe they are the same. Does his have the bubble hatch?

I remember an old car magazine I had where a guy converted his capri to mostly mustang parts. It was a really cool build.

Looks like the taillamps and rear bumper need to be swapped as well?

I don’t believe they do, that was just the direction that project went.

pretty sure the hatch will fit, but not have the bubble. The front fenders are different though.
