Well got some work done today. Starting to put the interior back together have to wait now for floor pans to come in. New heater core, 91 dash and steering colum. i am going to have to paint my back panels to match because the 91 panels are different.

Motor is out now time to look at it and see what kind of shape it's in.

Well the engine is at michine shop for work. Its getting .030" over piston around 9.5-10 to 1. Stock cam and 1.7 full roller rocker, my E6SE heads that have work done to them. GT40 intake and 65mm tb. Once the maf conversion is done the heads are getting swap out and bigger cam.

Did some more work to the interior today.

pick up a T5 but it needs rebuild.

Second gear drive has a tooth missing and drivin gear has two teeth missing.

Floor pan came in, well hole in the floor were your foot would sit when you drive. Looks like it's going to take floor pan and some tin work to fix.

well unfortunately your fox is fairly typical example of what breaks down on a neglected and backyard modded 5.0. You still did well though, 1000$ is not a bad price and your making fine progress! Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming!

Started to cut floor out so I can put my new floor pan in.

Someone all ready repaired the front frame once.

I remove the fender so I fix floor properly.

Inside frame rails I have to fix.

More work tomorrow.

Got floor pans almost ready to weld in. Just need some tin now to help repair floor.

that car is quite the project. I have to be honest, I would have let it go. Props for sticking it out and doing what you need to do.

Glad to know my car isnt the only rusted out turd some one is bringing back. Mine had rust in the door pillars where yours did also, luckly I've only got a small spot on the floor thats rusted out.

It just seem's like every time I touch something, there is more stuff to repair. The car is starting to get the better of me. Cant wait to seeing it get closer to being able to drive it. If I know then what I know now about the car when I bought it, it would of stayed for sale. I was looking for a project but not a complete rebuild.

I was the same way with mine, more I work on it the more stuff I find to repair, I had to do the door pillar, small spot on rockers, small spot on floor in front, and rear corners.. I'm also replacing the 1/4s on mine. Only panel that is not getting replaced is the roof.. lol..

Well I have come to the conclusion. I am fixing it to pass safety, then is looking for a 4cyl car that is in good shape. Then going to trasfer all my stuff to it. My car is not worth the effort, some spot's on inside fenders weld are broken passenger side was hit once really bad. I think the car is probaly twisted a little. Its to bad I should of looked at it better when I was buying it, but I got horney to have a 5.0. What can you do. I know where to look for problems on the new car I look at.

That does look like a huge project.

Heck, if you paid $1k for it, surely whatever parts you can get out of it to transfer to a 4cyl will have covered the original cost.

You can buy a solid roller car for pretty cheap, swap all the stuff you need and you will be sittign pretty.

Just to let you know, I bought a new car 98 convertable gt with 99,000 km. So i am going to be striping the fox and scraping it.
