87 in a 75?

I am putting a stock 302 from 75, stock heads and all, and I am going to run it this way for about 4 months before i cam it and put in my nice heads.


Until then, Its just getting flowtech headers, air gap intake manifold, and about a 600 CFM carb..


My question is, can i run 87? or should it be 93?

You can run 87. There is really no reason to run 93 unless you advance your timing so much that you get detonation.
