87 Mercury marquis 5.0L is it differant from a Stang?

I got an 87 Mercury Marquis. Visually, the valve covers, belt set-up, and exhaust manifolds are differant. My question is this: Is it a roller? The upper intake is on backwards but is it the same? It is a multiport fuel injected motor in case you didn't already assume that. What heads would it have? E7's? Any one care to shed some light? Almost forgot, any other good scavengeable parts on this car? It has an 8.8 rear and what about front 5-lug stuff and calipers? I see the spindle arangement looks differant. (no strut)

I am wondering about that, is it? I thought if it was a 5.0L MPI that it should be the same and also be a roller. I dunno.

HO engines have a different firing order, different cam, diffferent heads, and different intake, among other things. The engine in the grand monkey is roller cammed however. Always wondered about the rear axles myself? Rear end is probably wider.

The S.O 5.0L has 14lb injectors, different firing order(same a truck motor), the upper intake is different(lower is same), E6 heads(86-91 all have E6), speed density. 140hp and 270lb/ft. As for the rearend, the Merc has shocks mounted in FRONT of axle, and coil springs mounted ON the axle, rough measurement is 56in from inside of brake drum to inside of brake drum. Drums are quite large! I doubt the spindles would swap, because the hubs on the Merc are HUGE and protrude quite a bit through center of the wheel! I think the calipers can be used on a fox and are of the 73mm piston variety, but not 100% sure.

I know that the '86+ are roller blocks but not sure if they are roller cammed. Pistons are flat tops. The timing set uses a nylon toothed cam gear.
