Since my 87 GT needs about $4000 in body work to make it right I have acquired a 89 LX that looks much better. I plan to remove all of the GT's parts, engine trans and rear end and move them to the LX. I will also transfer the computer. Are there any issues I may run into concerning this job? Would the brakes be the same and how bout engine bay wiring?

Leave the SD computer in the 87. The 89 computer is Mass Air, a better system for future mods. Use the fuel injection wiring harness (the one on top of the engine that connects to the injectors) from the 87 & it will mate up with the 89 body wiring harness. The 89 body & computer wiring harness stays in place & doesn't need any changes.
The brakes are the same from 87 5.0 stangs to 89 5.0 stangs.
