88 A4LD with 87 TC Motor?

Hey guys, I was wondering what the limitations would be on my AF4LD (cooled) with the 87 TC motor, I haven't picked up a Computer or Vam Harness yet and I needed to know what to do.


I'd love to do the swap, but it seems really hard to attempt I have a T-5 In my garage but the auto to manual switch seems really hard, I was wondering what should I do? Im kinda stuck on it. ANY Help appreciated!!

I would say go for the T-5. After having my A4LD go at 100K and now its on its way to going again at 130K , I would say go for the T-5 Its not going to be that bad to do the swap, it will take some time to swap the pedals but the tranny wont be too hard. I wish I would have been able to do the swap back when it first went. Now I am in a rush to put the T-5 in thanks to the A4LD. I would say that you would be happy if ya did the swap and it will save ya a lot of heartache in the future.
