Fox 88 Fox New Wheels

I just purchased an 88 Fox Body Hatchback Gt with 25,000 miles on it. The car has had a 5-lug conversion done by the prior owner. The kit used to swap over was made by SSBBC performance brakes. The car stops ok for occasionally driven. I would love to change out the wheels that will accept a center cap.

The front rotors are the Mark 7 type. I know there are a lot of wheels that can’t be used due to the dust cap issue. There are several I can use and like. Is ok to run a 17x9 wheel up front without a lot of modifying to make it work?

TIA

Ultimately it will depend on the offset and backspacing of the 17x9 wheel. The issue will be when you go to turn the wheel side to side. Not a lot of room in the front of these fox bodies so if the wheel sticks out too far, you will rub the inner fenders and lower fender area when you turn the wheel side to side. If the wheel sits too far in, you'll contact the a-arm when you crank the wheel too far in one direction.
