The seller says simply "it's a 400 bored to 403".
I found this odd, as 403ci is not commonly spoken of.
He honestly doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about, as when I asked about the suspension setup he simply responded "it's got all kinds of stuff". The most info I got is that it has 3.73's out back. The rest is all spotty info. He bought it 3 months ago from a gearhead. I guess I'll pass on this one.

Hehehe,

"Racing Clutch" and "Bullet Proof rear end". Gotta love the detailed description of the components.

It's amazing, yet by looking at it, the car seems legit, with a horribly informed seller.
If it's 3.73's there's probably no 9" back there. It's probably still an 8.8 (which is fine). If it's "bulletproof," it's either spooled or lockered.
This car looks like an 11sec. car. I wish this guy had better answers. I miss my 11sec car and I'm looking for something inexpensive to hold me over until I can afford something nicer.

Your very right, the car does seem to have the parts. The engine is a little dirty, but it obivously has aluminum heads and intake, thats deffenantly a Holley DP.

I dont know what to say,you would really have to look the car over your self, and see if he'll let you drive it.

Looks like it has fairly new drag radials on the car.

Don't just take the dyno sheets verbatim...he could always show you sheets from another vehicle.

It's a tough call since you're a Mustang newbie (which there is nothing wrong with that at all) and the guy selling it is either taking out his a$$ or just trying to rip you off. I would inquire from the informed folks on this board on what to look out for to best determine the truth behind the engine. Good luck

I'd stay away from this one. The car itself looks like it could be worth the money, but you don't know for sure if there is anything wrong with it. The guys doesn't seem to know ANYthing about it and he doesn't have any feedback. Chances are he's trying to scam some money out of you. Plus from looking at his post it says it has drivers and passenger airbags in an 88 fox. I'm pretty sure airbags didn't come in foxes until the 90's. I ran a carfax on it, i'll email it to yah if you want it.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I'm gonna definately pass on this one.

Also, I must confess, I'm not a total Newb to Stangs, as I did own a '93 LX 5.0 5sp (NOTCH! - bought it in '99 from my little bro who was the original owner) and drove it for a year without modding it at all (I wasn't into modding cars back then). The car only had 10K miles on it! Please shoot me!! Hehehehe.
