I got a friend who wants to sell this car for $2K+. I ve got another friend that wants it but doesnt think its worth 1.5K. Mods are as follows-
The GOOD-
Aluminum Radiator
BBK throttle body
BBK egr spacer
BBK shortys
FMS aluminum driveshaft
MSD Wires
Flowmasters
Tranny was rebuilt not to long after being parked
T-tops

The bad-
Motor back firing through the intake when you step on the throttle
Butchered alarm still in the vehicle
all molding is dry rotted
interior looks like my arse (yeah I think its that bad!)
drivers seat is broken
Tank is leaking needs new o rings
Needs full tune up minus spark plug wires
Tires are all dry rotted
needs inspection sticker
passengers side mirror is broken and door is beat up

The ugly-
tail lights
tranny leaking really bad oil is puddling (the car has been in my driveway for 4 days and look at the mess it has left)
rear differential is leaking
motor may be leaking
tail lights again
front and rear bumpers look like a pitbull found a new chew toy
one rim is starting to peel the chrome off
Motor is back firing
motor smoked for first couple minutes after I got it started. I'm thinking valve seals need to be replaced.
Interior is shot.
Tint is peeling bad
Top liner is shot

Car is running now but not good. I work two jobs and got it started last night. Fuel pump was out and was replaced with a 255lph fuel pump. He says he has new lenses for the car too. Pictures speak a thousand words and like most people would say-

So here is the link for pics of the car-

So all opinions are welcome.

BTW rims are 16's

it looks to be all there with probably not a lot of rust for it being a Texas car and it is a t-top car which is rare in its self. it have a the 5.0L V8 which is a plus. if you got it to turn over then that's the biggest part of it. from sitting it probably needs a good tune up and some stuff cleaned really well. id say i would pay anyone between 1,000 to 2,000 for it but i think 1.500 is a really good deal for the both of them. i wish i was in Texas or else i would buy it. t-tops are the best. still has the look of a hatchback but with the breeze you get in a vert.

id say tell your friend to offer him 1,200 then if he says no go up to 1,300 and so on till you get to 1,500 and if he says no i need more then just say 1,500 is the most i can do. just remember... CASH TALKS. the guy we bought our 5.0 off of wanted 2,000 for it and we just showed up with 1,500 and cash and he took it.

+1 on teh $500....and even then, for me, that would be the negotiating platform. For real.

I would say $1k tops, it's pretty rough. $500 would be more reasonable I think, especially with the unknown backfiring issue.

I probably wouldnt buy it at all! That thing needs many thousands of dollars in repairs. You could find a fairly clean one for about 3500 and save yourself some time and hassle. I paid $1700 for my GT, and it looked basically like it does now, minus the wheels and the maybe $500 I put into the interior. So keep looking.

pretty rough. good for a drag car, rip out everything, do some body work make it look good and toss in the big block and go to town.

I might give 1k for it just for the parts and for a parts car....if it's got clean doors then i could use those, then i could sell the engine for a few hundred if it isn't blown...etc.

well I think its one of those sentimental things. He came by and now that it actually turns over he wants to see if he can put it in the paper and get more. BTW he said mines only worth 4k maybe 4.5k.

At that price I'll keep driving my daily driver with ice cold air @ 100deg. + summer weather.
