I might as well make a build thread for this thing. The car is an '88 LX Hatch. Mods when I got it were:

Lowered
saleen wing
308
10:1 compression
Trick flow stage 3 cam
Ported and polished gt 40 heads and upper and lower intake
24 lb injectors with matching maf sensor
Cold air intake
Taylor made 10.4mm wires
Msd 6a ignition box
Flex fan
No ac
Offroad h pipe with flowmaster 40 series
Bbk equal length headers
Short throw shifter
Adjustable clutch cable
King cobra clutch
3:73 gears in rear
Sub frame connectors
Rear sway bar
5"monster tach
And oil pressure guage, temp guage and amp guage in center of councel
New radiator
New speed sensor
New fuel pump
New fuel guage
New fuel pressure regulator
New spark plugs
New battery

Problems:
speedometer doesnt work but i do have the cable to fix it and will go with the car
doors do not lock
primed in color

And it looked like this:

After driving it for a few days, I hated the way it rode so I started looking for springs. I found a set of Rousch Racing springs on here so I scooped them up:

And I really hated that damn Saleen wing so I found a guy selling a stock hood and LX wing for $50 so i scooped those up the same day I bought the springs. LX wing installed:

When I got the car the rear tires were BALD so I went ahead and ordered some new rubbers for the rear. Shortly after ordering two rear tires I noticed that the inside edge of the front tires was worn down to the cords. Shortly after noticing this, I ordered front tires.

Shot of the new rear tires(245/55/16's):

New rubber ready to be mounted:

Got my new springs in. Made a HUGE difference over the cut factory coils and it actually lifted the car some:

That's about it for now. I got my new tires mounted yesterday but didn't have a chance to get any pictures of it. I plan on getting an LX front bumper soon and then hopefully painting the car around spring. I was kind of thinking Dark Shadow Grey would look pretty good, but I'm not certain on the color yet.

Haha thanks. I couldn't bring myself to liking it at all. Not too mention, previous owner did a crappy job filling in the holes. I was able to punch out the filler with my pocket knife.

Either black 03 style Cobra's, black FR's, or Anthracite Bullitt's. All choices will be 17x9/17x10.5 and with the 5 lug swap of course. My original plan was to just spray paint the car black(do a halfway decent job) and do the swap. But now I decided I'm just going to go ahead and paint the car and do the 5 lug swap later. I might paint my Pony wheels to make them look a little better for the time being.

Yea I was going to try my best at an egg shell black. Lol But now I'm just going to take it to Maaco and pay ~$750 for it to be done. Not looking for show quality here.

Yea the body doesn't need any major work so I'm thinking it should come out fairly decent. I'm going to do things like remove the quarter windows and all the window trim and lights just so those areas get painted also.

i suck i haven't taken any other pictures but i will, the coupe is in peices now, the whole front of vehicle is pretty much gone, driver's door is gone, and a complete 5 lug swap from the red 95 GT pictured. now i am doing some patch work and installed a passenger floorboard, (i got this vehicle pretty much for free and is very solid in all the right places) the body is nice. just another someones unfinished project that i will finish. let me know how that paint comes out, i have been tossing their base coat clear coat job that they offer.
