88TC swap into an 85 Mustang

I would be getting the complete motor, accessories, turbo, wiring harness, computer, and intercooler. Everything to drop it in and run it. What would be a reasonable price for this setup?

I think I know what needs to be done, but what am I missing?

1.The gas tank will have to be switched over to an EFI in-tank one. Larger fuel pump at the same time.
2.The car is orginally a 2.3w/ the 4-speed. So the engine should bolt right up to the tranny with the TC flywheel and clutch.
3. All the wiring w/ computer will be there just a matter of routing/mounting it.

Just not sure if I am missing anything major.

Ya, i would find a different harness if i were you. 87-90 mustang 2.3 harness for that matter. The t/c setup has alota *Extra* wiring for such things as program-ride control and such. Other than that maybe a 5-speed swap. My brother had a 4 speed stick in his Capri RS....no better upgrade than a T5!!!

I'd find a T5 trans too...that 4 speed is a POS.

I will be looking for one, but for the time the 4 speed will have to do.

If I pick up a 87-90 harness will I have to do any rewiring or is it a simple plug and play?

I have a feeling that you would have to modify the wiring harness if you got one from an 87-90 stang. But it can be done.

Put the 87-90 harness in, you will have to "repin" a couple of wires. It will take you a grand total of 5 mins
