89 5.0l - What Is This??

Maybe a dumb question but what is this valve / actuator located under the EGR valve? There is a red vacuum line coming off the top and I found the other end free floating today. Where is it supposed to connect to? I have studied the posted vac diagrams and that hasn't clarified for me.

Fuel pressure regulator.

Other end connects under the upper intake if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the reply, that's what i suspected. Will look for a connection under the upper intake.

The fuel pressure regulator vac line should go from the nipple on top to the back of the upper manifold.
There is usually 2 small threaded vac fitting right next to each other, one for FPR and believe the other
goes to EGR think they are red and white.
